Getting Started with Contacts

Your whole network in one place — people, companies, and every conversation in between.

You're a minute away from adding your first contact. Here's everything you need to get organised fast.

Step 1 — Create your first contact

  1. Click the "+ New Contact" button at the top of the Contacts page.
  2. Choose the type: Person or Company.
  3. Type a name — this is the only required field.
  4. Click Save.

That's it. Your contact is now in your address book.

Step 2 — Fill in the details

Open a contact and click Edit to add as much (or as little) as you like:

  • Name — the display name (required).
  • First name / Last name — for people, so lists sort cleanly.
  • Job title and Company name — who they are and where they work.
  • Industry — handy for companies.
  • Birthdate — never miss a birthday again.
  • Email, Phone, Mobile, Website — the ways to reach them.
  • Address, City, State, Postal code, Country — where they are.
  • Notes — free text for anything else worth remembering (how you met, preferences, context).
  • StatusActive, Inactive, or Archived to keep your list tidy.

Click Save and you're done.

Step 3 — Find anyone in seconds

The sidebar gives you several focused views:

| View | What it shows | |------|--------------| | All contacts | Every contact, with search, sorting, and pagination | | Active | Only contacts marked Active | | People | Contacts of type Person | | Companies | Contacts of type Company |

Use the search box to filter by name, email, or company. You can sort All contacts by name or latest, and choose how many rows to show per page (10, 20, 50, or 100).

Step 4 — Group contacts together

Need to organise people by team, project, or event? Use Groups:

  1. Open Groups from the Contacts area.
  2. Click "+ New Group" and give it a name.
  3. Add contacts to the group.

A contact can belong to several groups at once, and you can assign groups right from the contact's edit form.

Step 5 — Track your relationship

Open any contact to build a history over time:

  • Interactions — log calls, emails, and meetings with a subject, description, direction, duration, and outcome.
  • Transactions — record deals or exchanges tied to the contact.

Review this history any time before you reach out again.

Let Lia do it for you

You don't have to fill in forms at all. Ask Lia, your assistant, in chat:

"Add Maria Lopez, maria@example.com, works at Acme as a designer."

Lia can create contacts (with email, phone, job title, company, and notes) and search your address book for you — no clicking required.

Tip: Add people the moment you meet them and drop a quick note in the Notes field about where you met. Future-you will be grateful.
